The Coronavirus emergency is affecting contractual obligations, causing an increasing amount of international commercial disputes.
The exceptional circumstances under which the conflicts arise, the harmed economic conditions of the parties in dispute and the complexity of underlying legal issues make litigation an option that businesses cannot afford.
Mediation, as a time and cost effective tool allowing parties to minimize negative consequences and preserve commercial relationships, can represent the right solution.
For that reason, the Florence International Mediation Chamber (FIMC) has decided to support Florentine businesses dealing with the economic effects of the epidemic waiving registration costs for mediation requests filed until 30 June 2020.
